If you want to have complete protection from all of the common animal pests including deer, raccoons, rabbits, chipmunks, skunks and woodchucks, set up a combination fence.

The Ultimate Combo uses a 3 1/2 foot Jaguar fence with the six inch extension down into the soil. On the outside is attached two lines of electric fence from Fi-Shock, one line at 3 feet and one line down at 1 foot.

This design is being tested in 2004 by our staff using a vegetable garden surrounded by woods in Central Michigan. Both fence products are available for you to experiment. We'll make full reports along the way.
