Baby's Breath

Baby’s Breath (Gypsophila paniculata), Other name: Chalk Plant

Mature size: 2 to 3 feet tall; ; billowy mounds about 3 or 4 feet across the size of a small shrub, but not substantial;

Use to punctuate perennial borders, good in containers.

Flower color/type: white, pink; single florets

Bloom time: June to August, has no scent. Will bloom for several weeks.

Foliage: leaves inconspicuous, linear, gray-green (resemble carnation leaves); wiry branching stems. Airy plants useful to contrast with more substantial ones or ones with leathery foliage.
