Phlox Choices

Some good varieties include: `Twinkle,' an All-America Selections winner, which is 8 inches tall, with mixed colors. Also called Star Phlox, its ragged petal edges give each flower a starburst appearance. `Petticoat Mix' is 6 inches tall, with mixed colors, more heat and drought tolerant than the species; `Apricot,' is named for the flower color. ~~~`Dwarf Beauty' is about 7 inches tall in lavender, red, pink or white. ~~~`Grandiflora' and `Gigantea' are also recommended hybrids. `Tetras' have large flowers.
