Coleus

Coleus is also called Flame Nettle. The use of colorful foliage is a hot trend in today’s garden design, so Coleus, an old-time Victorian favorite, is all the rage in American gardens. New hybrids that are vegetatively propagated grow larger, reaching 36” or more in height in a single season. These new kids on the block produce the most vibrant color when placed in full sun. Collectors who lack space to over-winter these beauties can take cuttings that quickly root in water or damp potting soil.
